Spine Pain Diagnostics Associates is proud to have Dr. Fadi Alhatem on our medical staff. His diverse background and education will offer his patients a comprehensive approach to their painful conditions.

After completing his residency in psychiatry, Dr. Alhatem went on to complete two years of fellowship training in interventional pain medicine.

Dr. Alhatem’s knowledge and pleasant personality helps his patients feel confident and at ease. Dr. Alhatem’s goal is to help his patients understand their pain and work with them to develop a plan to improve their pain, function, and overall quality of life. Dr. Alhatem is currently accepting new patients.

Education:
Following medical school, Dr. Alhatem completed his residency at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. Dr. Alhatem served as the chief impatient resident during his final year of residency. He is also board certified in Psychiatry and Neurology.

Dr. Alhatem completed one year of fellowship training in interventional pain medicine at DHMC-Dartmouth Medical School and an additional year of fellowship training in advanced interventional pain medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Dr. Alhatem is currently board eligible in the subspecialty of pain medicine.

Professional Interests:
Dr. Alhatem is interested in improving the field of interventional pain medicine through research and professional writing.

Personal:
Dr. Alhatem is an avid volunteer and has worked as a guidance counselor. He has also volunteered his time to provide assessment and care for under-served populations.

One of Dr. Alhatem’s many passions is photography. When he is not seeing patients or volunteering you will find him outdoors taking photographs. Dr. Alhatem also enjoys tennis, cooking and life fitness.
