Spine Pain Diagnostics Associates Affiliated Ambulatory Surgery Center awarded Ambulatory Healthcare Accreditation from The Joint Commission with Perfect Score
(NIAGARA, WI, March 23, 2024) – The Niagara Health Center (the ambulatory surgery center affiliated with Spine Pain Diagnostics Associates) has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Ambulatory Healthcare Accreditation by demonstrating continuous compliance with its performance standards. This is the ninth time in a row the Niagara Health Center has earned the Gold Seal of Approval and the second time with a perfect score. Less than 1% of organizations surveyed receive a perfect score. The Gold Seal is a symbol of quality that reflects a health care organization’s commitment to providing safe and quality patient care.
The Niagara Health Center underwent a rigorous, unannounced onsite review on March 21-22. During the visit, a team of Joint Commission reviewers evaluated compliance with Ambulatory Healthcare standards spanning several areas including coordination of care, infection prevention and control, management of medications, data management, leadership, competence assessment, and patient education.
The Joint Commission’s standards are developed in consultation with health care experts and providers, measurement experts and patients. They are informed by scientific literature and expert consensus to help health care organizations measure, assess and improve performance. The surveyors also conducted onsite observations and interviews.
“As a healthcare accreditor, The Joint Commission works with healthcare organizations across care settings to inspire safer and higher quality of care that is more equitable and compassionate,” says Ken Grubbs, DNP, MBA, RN, executive vice president of Accreditation and Certification Operations and chief nursing officer, The Joint Commission. “Through collaborating on innovative solutions and evidence-based resources and tools, The Joint Commission helps drive improvement while maintaining accountability through our leading survey methods and standards. We commend the Niagara Health Center for its commitment to advance safety, quality, equity and compassion for all patients.”
“I am proud of the entire team that made a perfect score possible. From the nurses and operating room technicians to the administrative staff and housekeeping. A perfect score is no easy undertaking and truly demonstrates the commitment to excellence we have to our patients,” says Vijay Singh, MD the Medical Director of the Niagara Health Center.
